Description
The coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the injustice of mass incarceration in California. Over a hundred thousand inmates are facing overcrowding and lack of access to healthcare, making them extra vulnerable to a COVID-19 outbreak.
At the same time, this crisis has revealed opportunities for reform. Our criminal justice system has released thousands of inmates to reduce crowding, raising questions about the necessity of their incarceration in the first place.
Join us on Monday, May 11th to learn how you can advocate for criminal justice reform locally at Santa Rita Jail and statewide throughout the prison system. Zoom link will be sent after RSVP.
