Last week, as we talked to community leaders around the country, we heard both pain and also an increased determination to come together and overcome the violent racism, antisemitism, and misogyny that have fueled Trump’s rise and were fully visible, and deadly, in Charlottesville.
Together we can hold each other with love and compassion, and rise to meet this moment.
With gratitude and solidarity,
Susan Lubeck, National Field Director
Leili Davari-Bitton, Bay Area Organizer
PS: In this difficult moment, I want to encourage you to seek community and connection. There are many multi-faith gatherings in the next few weeks that can be a resource for you, including an event at Temple Sinai (Oakland, 8/23 at 7pm), another at Congregation Emanu-El (San Francisco, 8/25 at 6:30pm), and a third at Temple Isaiah (Lafayette, 8/29 at 7pm). Additionally, a helpful roundup of actions, events and trainings around the Bay can be found on Bay Resistance here.
